My name is Matt Caldwell and I founded McCall Property Services and McCall Outfitter in 2015 on the principles of providing superior customer service to both my homeowners and tenants. I have been involved in many different aspects of the real estate market for over 20 years. My wife and I moved to McCall in 2007 in pursuit of a better quality of life. Before that I spent nine years competing and working in the ski and snowboard industry living in the mountain town of Mammoth Lakes, California. After receiving my Bachelor’s Degree from California State University, Fullerton I worked in the action sports industry for a publishing company. Working in Southern California in the action sports industry was not all I thought it would be as I ended up spending most of my time in an office and not in the mountains. My wife and I decided that quality of life and where we would raise our family meant more to us than any job I would ever have. We both quit our jobs and moved to McCall, Idaho as newlyweds in search of a fresh start. Since then I have taken on many roles in our community which I am very proud of. I started out tuning skis at Hometown Sports, taught skateboarding for the City of McCall, and obtained my Fire Fighter I/EMT-B at McCall Fire Department. Shortly after I purchased a real estate publishing franchise. Working in the publishing industry allowed me to utilize my experience but it also gave me a foot in the door to the local real estate industry. I spent seven years publishing real estate magazines throughout Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon. Eventually I felt it was time to move on and focus on actual real estate. I started working for a corporate vacation rental property management company in 2012. I quickly got fed up with the corporate mentality, and parted ways with that company. This is where McCall Property Services and McCall Outfitter came to fruition. I have not only grown a reputable property management company I am honored to have acquired McCall Vacations, the oldest running vacation rental business in McCall. I look forward to growing McCall Vacations into McCall’s premier, boutique vacation rental management company.
